For about a month, I posted long and short articles on LinkedIn, Threads, Substack, and Facebook. About what I felt.

  1. LinkedIn: I generally get a good response, probably because the topics I write are related to startups and careers. The post sharing things I learned at my previous job, including Coupang, received 1,000 likes in just a few days even though I didn't have many LinkedIn friends.

  2. Threads: The first posts spread well. However, from then on, it mainly spreads out honest stories, experiences, and writings written from the inside out. I also understand why you use informal language. If you write down your experience honestly and in plain English, the algorithm will push you further. I have a strong feeling that the posts that appear in the feed are weighted based on embedding.

  3. Substack: It is not an exaggeration to say that almost all the articles worth reading in the tech and startup industry these days are on Substack. High-quality articles are pouring in beyond the former stronghold of Medium. Connected features such as paid services, mailing lists, and dashboards are also excellent.

  4. Facebook: Feed quality is garbage. Now I can't find a reason to use it.
