One benefit of intermittent fasting is that almost any food tastes good. I apply this to a routine whenever I have a fine-dining reservation: I fast for 24 hours before going to the restaurant. Since adopting it, I have never had a disappointing fine-dining experience, because I arrive in a state where disappointment is impossible. Everything comes down to managing expectations and managing your mood. Of course, the routine is only complete once I return home and cook myself a bowl of ramyeon.
